Hi, I’m William Ramos, a storyboard artist and visual storyteller based in Southern California. I turn scripts, ideas, and rough story beats into clear, cinematic sequences built around staging, acting, pacing, emotion, and camera movement.
My background includes animation, illustration, editing, music, and nearly two decades of technical problem-solving. That combination affects how I approach storyboards: I think beyond individual drawings and focus on how the entire sequence communicates—what the audience needs to understand, where the camera belongs, how the performance reads, and how one shot leads naturally into the next.
For my independent projects, I often develop the work from story outlines and thumbnails through finished boards, animatics, concept development, and 3D exploration. That broader production experience helps me understand how storyboards connect with design, editing, sound, and the rest of the animation pipeline.
I work in both hand-drawn and hybrid 2D/3D workflows and adapt my drawing, staging, and presentation to the visual language of each production rather than forcing every project into one style.
I am currently seeking full-time storyboard artist and storyboard revisionist opportunities and am open to remote, hybrid, or on-site studio work. I am also available for select contract and freelance projects.
Tools: Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, Blender and Grease Pencil, DaVinci Resolve, and ToonSquid.
